Opportunity and Protection Association was established in 1996 in Haskovo by people of different occupations – doctors, educators, psychologists, social workers, engineers. What brought us together was love to children, the will to support them overcome the difficult times of transition.
It is hard to believe that in times when every one fights for survival 23 people (the founders of the association) gathered together to decide that they will help children, without expecting payment for this or even’ thank you’.
It is hard to believe yourself that you can do what seems impossible. So many times we have said ‘no that’s impossible’ or ‘no, it won’t go’. But however, there was always someone say ‘let’s try’. And so incredible things have happened…
